Through the Health First Initiative, we will continue expanding our outreach efforts to increase health awareness, promote disease prevention, and improve healthcare access in Ghana’s underserved communities.

The Health First Initiative is a collaborative effort led by The Real GH Foundation, in partnership with Project Give Hope and Project Hope, to provide accessible, comprehensive, and preventative healthcare services to underserved communities in Ghana. Through annual New Year Health Fairs, we aim to promote early detection, preventive care, and health education, ensuring that every individual has access to essential healthcare services that enhance their quality of life.

Through collaborative partnerships and innovative health initiatives, we strive to empower individuals, reduce health disparities, and promote holistic wellness across rural and underserved communities.
Objectives
A. Provide Accessible Healthcare Services
- Organize annual New Year Health Fairs in Asebu or Elmina, offering on-site healthcare services to community members.
- Deliver comprehensive medical screenings and diagnostics, including:
- Triage and general health assessments
- Dental exams and oral hygiene education
- Weight and BMI assessments
- Chiropractic care and body composition analysis
- Blood pressure, diabetes, and cholesterol screenings
- Optometry diagnostics and vision care
- Malaria and cervical cancer screenings
- Provide free sanitary napkins to women in underserved villages to support menstrual health and hygiene.
B. Strengthen Community Health Education
- Establish educational displays and interactive health workshops on:
- Diabetes management and healthy lifestyle practices
- Heart health and risk prevention strategies
- Cancer awareness and early detection
- Mental health and stress management techniques
- Engage local and international healthcare professionals to provide informational sessions and hands-on training for community members.
C. Enhance Emergency and Preventative Health Knowledge
- Offer CPR and first aid training sessions, including:
- Hands-on CPR techniques and use of AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators).
- Emergency first aid demonstrations for burns, choking, and child first aid.
- Train community members in basic life-saving skills to improve emergency response readiness.
D. Expand Chiropractic and Physical Wellness Services
- Provide chiropractic screenings focusing on:
- Body composition analysis
- Flexibility and strength testing
- Personalized exercise consultations
- Introduce guided relaxation zones with:
- Breathing exercises and stress management techniques
- Mindfulness activities, including yoga, meditation, and aromatherapy sessions
E. Promote Oral Health Awareness
- Establish dental health booths to:
- Provide free dental check-ups and consultations.
- Distribute toothbrushes and toothpaste as free gift items.
- Educate community members on proper oral hygiene and preventive dental care.
